The Carl Sandburg College Community Garden will have an informational meeting for new, returning and interested volunteers from noon-1 p.m. April 15 in Room B20 on Sandburg’s Main Campus in Galesburg, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd.

The meeting is open to anyone interested in assisting with the garden this year. A virtual platform for the meeting will be available for those unable to attend in person. There are no qualifications to be a Sandburg Community Garden volunteer aside from a passion for giving back to the community.

Established in 2011 and located near the entrance to the Main Campus, the Sandburg Community Garden produces thousands of pounds of freshly grown food each year that is donated to those in need. Work in the garden is done entirely by volunteers.
